Musée national Eugène-Delacroix

Paris, France

The Musée national Eugène-Delacroix once served as both the home and studio of the celebrated Romantic painter Eugène Delacroix. From 1857 until his death in 1863, Delacroix created many of his masterpieces within these walls, surrounded by the peaceful gardens in the heart of Paris.

Collection and Artistic Legacy

Today, the museum displays a wide selection of Delacroix’s works, including paintings, drawings, and personal objects. Visitors can see up close the tools and materials that the artist used, gaining insight into his creative process. The museum also hosts temporary exhibitions, featuring pieces created by Delacroix's contemporaries and those he influenced.
